Commercial buoyancy references

Explore published finished-foam properties alongside their source limits. These references describe supplier products, not recipes or FoamForge predictions.

What the Bluefin example tells us

ESS reports supplying Bluefin foam at 30 lb/ft³ (approximately 481 kg/m³), rated to 4,500 m. Its case study does not disclose the formulation or identify a catalogue grade. AZ-30 is a separate reference: ESS’s depth–density chart lists 480 kg/m³ at 4,500 m, while its grade datasheet contains conflicting density units.

Our stored epoxy compositions start at 547 kg/m³. That is a coverage limit of our fixed resin, particle and loading inputs. It is not a physical minimum for syntactic foam, a measured prediction error, or evidence that this computed composition can operate at 4,500 m.

Actual ingredient densities can support an ideal mixture-density estimate. New strength or pressure predictions require the specific formulation, process and measured validation data.

Neither source supplies a grade-specific TG resin chemistry, density tolerance, hydrostatic crush pressure, or compressive strength. Do not label TG as epoxy merely because DS and EL families are described as epoxy.
  • Current webpage spells grade without hyphen; linked PDF spells it with hyphen. Grade alias is traceability only, not an equivalence to an imperial TG grade.
